Our Story

Rocky Mountain Veterinary Care is a mobile veterinary service that provides chiropractic, acupuncture and alternative therapies to horses, dogs and cats in northern Colorado. Dr. MacDowell strives to improve the lives of animals with noninvasive and integrative therapies that are safe and effective.

Dr. MacDowell became interested in chiropractic therapy after her personal horse was diagnosed with kissing spine, chronic back pain and forelimb lameness. Standard medical care was able to improve his condition substantially, however, adding in chiropractic, kinesiology taping and PEMF has allowed him to go the extra mile to recovery. After seeing the benefits of these modalities, Dr. MacDowell became certified in animal Chiropractic. Chiropractic has been the basis of her treatment plans although she continues to grow in her education to be able to offer additional modalities to approach pain management and rehabilitation from every angle.
